My name is Jaclyn Hamilton and, like many of my contemporaries, I began my love affair with creating jewelry in my high school art class. With that passion for metals, I was able to attend the University of Michigan and achieve my degree in Fine Art, majoring in Metals. I studied under amazing women who taught me invaluable lessons, about metals and life, that I hold dear to this day. I devoted my time and energy to teaching jewelry, clay, graphic design and other fine arts to thousands of high school students over my 24 years in the field of education in hopes that they would fall in love with the arts like I did. After taking a break from my personal work to concentrate on being a mom, I'm getting back to my roots and it feels fabulous!

My philosophy is that jewelry should be unique to the wearer. As an artist, I feel like jewelry should reflect YOU, not a trend. It should speak to you and draw you in intimately. I love the Harry Winston quote, "People will stare. Make it worth their while." because beautiful jewelry invites people to look and to share a story. Maybe my story will resonate with you or maybe the jewelry speaks to you directly, either way, make it worth their stare. Invite them in to hear your story or let it be a mystery. I love rich textures and playing with color, stacking pieces, and am constantly inspired by my environment; whether at the beach, touring a new town or visiting a different country, inspiration can strike me anywhere! I hope my jewelry resonates with you and helps you tell your own beautiful story…

I just love stacking on some bracelets! High-end gold pieces from luxury retailers to homemade bracelets I make with my little one to crystals and beach treasures, they all add to the happiness on my arm. Grab a few and style your own stack to match an outfit or your beautiful spirit for the day! Make them stop and stare, invite them for a story, or keep it all to yourself.

My current inspiration is a little collection of sea finds and architectural flowers sprinkled about my work bench.

New Mitten Love necklaces are in the works! Stay tuned...
